Tajči's Story. Born Tatjana Matejas in Zagreb, Croatia, Tajci (TY-chee) grew up in what was then communist Yugoslavia. Raised in a musical family, she was singing with her father’s band when she was only four. Tatiana was admitted to the prestigious Croatian Music Conservatory where she received a rigourous music education with a focus on classical piano. As a young girl, she was a frequent performer on the national stage, appearing in countless musical, theatrical and television productions.

TatianaAt the age of 19, Tajci became a superstar in Central Europe when she electrified an international TV audience, estimated at over a billion people, in the Eurovision Song Contest. The release of her recording of “Hajde da Ludujemo” (“Let’s Go Crazy”), coupled with the fall of the Berlin Wall, sparked a wave of optimism and an adulation for the attractive, engaging teenager— much like the Beatlemania phenomena the West had experienced thirty years earlier... read more.

Program Descriptions (...from idobelieve.com). Performed in the prayerful atmosphere of the Sanctuaries, which are enhanced by the beautiful lighting design, Tajci's concerts take the audience on a journey from the mundane everyday life to a deeply spiritual place.

"EMMANUEL - The Story of Christmas" tells the story of Christ's birth through the eyes of a girl who grew up wandering what Christmas was all about and why she was not supposed to say the words 'Merry Christmas' in public.

This concert is performed by Tajci and orchestra (Violoncello, Indian cello, Flute, Midi Keyboard, Percussion and Back Vocalists) and tours in Advent (Thanksgiving through Christmas)

"I THIRST - the Crucifixion Story" presents the way of the Cross through powerfully moving music. Tajci brings up poignant thoughts on Christ's sacrifice, and draws the audience on an emotional journey.

This program is performed by Tajci, backed up by Denny Bouchard on Keyboards and Janel Leppin on Cello (Western and Indian) and is performed during the season of Lent.

"LET IT BE - Mary's Story" is a portrayal of Mary, the mother of Jesus, from a perspective of a busy Mom in today's world.

Tajci is joined by Denny Bouchard on keyboards for this program.

"I DO BELIEVE- Journey of Faith" combines highlights from all three of Tatiana's programs (such as Ani Ma'amin, Magnificat, Breath of Heaven, Ave Maria, Stabat Mater and Eli, Eli) and includes new music by Tajci. The program is both a personal journey and a meditation on the life of Christ according to the Gospels.

Tajci performs with Denny Bouchard (on keyboards) to create an amazing musical experience. This program combines ancient chant, ethnic and classical elements in its overall contemporary style.
